in the Chilterns"
by
Dr Dowling Munro
at
The Teikyo School,
Framewood Road, Wexham, Nr Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire
on
Wednesday, 12th
September 2007
Commencing at 8.00pm
Dr Dowling Munro is a celebrated Galanthophile - a lover of snowdrops - and
he possesses an extensive collection of named cultivars in his garden at Great
Missenden, Buckinghamshire. He also delights in the growing of Hellebores which
can withstand a wide range of climatic conditions. His talk, whilst including
his interest in snowdrops, will also be wider ranging in scope. This will be
his first visit to the Society and he comes to us by recommendation from
various people who have heard him talk to other societies. Snowdrops make a
welcome appearance in the garden in January/February, some flowering into March
and there is an extraordinary number of cultivars.
