Ever since 1884 we have maintained our annual marquee show (except in war years). We are determined to ensure continuance of our show and welcome in the marquee exhibits which will enhance our show but which will, at the same time, help in providing publicity for the participating horticultural organisation.

On this pages will be seen a selection of pictures from shows in our marquee and we hope that the display will cause you to want to visit our show whether or not you are a member and also to exhibit. Members do not pay a class entry fee but non-members do. Membership is £6 per annum or £8 for joint membership.

Nurserymen can have stall space on the showground outside the marquee but if they are willing to put up a display in the marquee, either on the side or as an island site, then they will not pay the fee of £25 for their stall. They can, of course, put up an exhibit in the marquee without having outside stall space. There is no selling in the marquee during the show but prospective purchasers can reserve plants by numbered label for collection at the end of the show. For information, telephone 01895 464694.

We have exhibits in the marquee provided by local nurserymen and the pictures to the left and right of this paragraph are of a presentation made by Farnham Common Nurseries in 2008. Also, in the same year, Miles & Miles Clematis Nursery also provided an eye-catching exhibit. Again in 2009, Farnham Common Nurseries repeated the quality of their exhibit which they had presented in 2009 and we look forward to seeing them again in 2010 and hope they will be joined by other such exhibitors. Of course, it all takes time to build up a show's reputation and we realise, particularly in the difficult times of 2010, that this may be a long term aim. However, we do have experience among the officers of the Society in the running of larger shows so any enquiries will be warmly welcomed. We are basically a local show but with a good reputation in South Buckinghamshire. We feel that such exhibits will lend an extra dimension of interest for visitors and also exhibitors in our scheduled classes.
